There is a very noticeable difference, but as the poster above said, its a 4 inch barrel and a decent frame size, so neither is a problem to shoot. You are going to break your hand and ears shooting the snub nose, but you would only use it to save your life so whatever.

If that's your experience, you are not shooting hot .357, which is not surprising since most of the mainstream ammo manufactures toned down their loads due to true full power loads breaking lightweight S&W police revolvers back in the day.

I also have photographed my gun's serial #'s, the safe serial numbers, the guns in the safe with the slide back and clip out (to indicate they're not stored loaded...though they are), and with the visible bullet FMJ (in reality, hollow point).

I did the above to create some evidence in advance should these be used and stolen in a crime that they've been stored in a locked safe, unloaded, with no "cop killer" hollow points.

Also, highly recommend Vaultek. They're bluetooth enabled safes that keep a record of openings, attempts to open, etc.

luckily he sort of protected it---it's a flat, even sanding job (doesn't go too deep) so you can still see the rough outline and there are no scratches on the metal like the rushjobs they did for some enlisted dudes (i've seen a few really shitty defacing jobs at gun shows and museums, shit looks like they did it with a house key---real shame)

i recently got the final piece i needed to fully restore the useless anti-aircraft rangefinder, i'm attaching it next weekend. it's also pre-war construction, one of the first 20k built at that particular armory afaik, so the quality is 👌👌👌, i've put a few rounds through it (not period rounds obviously but you can buy modern reproductions from small loaders online---though they're stupid expensive)
