The one I want MSRPs around $37650 with some small additions I probably don’t want. The dealership seems to want me to lease. I’d need to do 15,000 miles on the lease minimum.

Also, what’s the best way to negotiate price, the Mercedes dealerships don’t give me quick quotes like the Toyota dealerships did.

Help

Get a broker to help you. It will get you the best price. Ask Matt and he can help you with that and give you a #.

Also, you've already made a ton of money this year. Just buy the car dude.

I’m not sure if I want an out of warranty Mercedes. Lease v Buy isn’t a money issue, although the financing APR they are offering is like 5% which would be stupid

If you have a ton of cash then buy it cash. 5%/year is way too much to throw away.

What the hell, man? You negotiate for a living.

You're not playing 3D chess with 200 IQ sharks, here.

Reach the price and all that and give them low numbers. Easy as that. There have to be a bunch of Mercedes dealers in southern Southern California. It's not like you only have one shot.

OK got an offer for one MSRPing for $37000 for sub $34000. Bringing that to the other dealer to beat.

Is the delivery fee something I can get waived? It’s 925

U should only get gap if you’re financing for like 5 years or more or if your auto insurer offers it for cheap. Another option is to buy through a credit union and they’ll generally throw it in for free.

If leasing prob not.

Some car insurance companies offer GAP, and it’s usually much cheaper than what the dealership offers. You should check with your insurance company.

Tomorrow I think. The one I wanted with the premium package has an MSRP of $37,185 and they’re offering for $32,750 + TTL for $35,842 out the door.

The base model I was going to get has a shitty fucking screen so I needed the premium package.

Fletcher Jones Newport has too many OC housewives buying cars without negotiation, similar to Santa Monica (all cash Chinese buyers attending SMC) and Beverly Hills (Persians).

Long Beach and downtown LA motors and South Bay very aggressive in pricing. Pit them all against each other and do it all over email/text.

For checking whether you’re getting a good deal, check the edmunds car forums for your exact model and specs. The lease forums will also let you know the lowest money factor they’re giving out. In general leasing and buying are the same as long as you’re working off the same OTD price. You can pretty much get down to 0% on a lease by using some multiple security deposits. With 15k though, I’d rather buy.

Sell the prius c to a third party buyer. not carmax but something similar. I sold my POS to car trackers for way more than I should have got for it.
