Fight me. 50mm is too tight. You lose too much contextual detail, especially if you're doing street photography. It feels too confining. You can only "zoom with your feet" so far back in certain settings. 35mm gets closer to the natural FOV of the human eye and brings in more of the scene, more of the action that's happening around the subject, tells the wider story.
