The fact that a given child might be in more danger from their parents than DQSH is not justification for having DQSH. |

Many do funny lip syncs and wear crazy make up for entertainment value. They're really funny and entertaining. Never have they only entertained gay people. Many I know work jobs but some do drag full time as they make really good money at corporate gigs and private events.
As I said, I think it helps kids simply be more open minded about people who are different from them and a drag queen story hour I think sounds like a fun and enlightening experience. Not more accepting of drag queens but just of differences, of different people. And why is that bad? Should kids be taught to hate or detest others, is that what you're getting at? Additionally, drag queens are generally very kind and humorous people and teach others about the importance of SELF-acceptance, which is a great message for any kid.
So if kids and their parents want to partake in that for the fun and educational value, what is the problem? |
