He stole a bunch of computers from the middle school. I think he broke into some guy's trailer and stole some shotguns. I don't remember the details of that.
The crazy story about him was when he just turned 18 and he got the bright idea to sell nitrous balloons on Shakedown Street at Dead Shows. He got a permit for nitrous saying he was going to use it to race his motorcycle.
He kept the nitrous tank hidden in the barn that was on our property but my parents found it and told him the nitrous tank had to go or he needed to move out so he gave the tank to his 16 year old friend to hold for him.
The 16 year old was the youngest of three brothers who were all high school burnouts, lots of drugs.
When no one was home, the 16 year old took a Hefty garbage bag, filled it up with nitrous, stuck it over his head and accidentally suffocated himself to death.
The state charged my brother with aggravated manslaughter. He was front page on the state's biggest newspaper. Cops raided our home.
My parents wound up spending $70K on a criminal attorney who got the charges dismissed. That was a lot of money for my parents. My dad was a solo electrician in a small podunk town. Brother never thanked them. |

A few years ago he got busted growing pot in North Carolina by the Feds and that scared the shit out of him. I don't think he's growing anymore. If he gets caught again he'll do some serious time.
He blows glass bowls for a living and then sells them to headshops around him. He started getting arthritis so now he has China make the bowls for him out of a prototype he creates.
He has never paid taxes. I anticipate when the IRS catches up to him that will be the next big drama in his life. I've warned him repeatedly about this. |
