also, i have to say that my moral intuitions just do not really line up with Judith Jarvis Thomson, even without trying to make the sort of killing vs. allowing to die distinction that religious conservatives like to invoke against autistic utilitarians |

Abortion also mostly targets criminal minorities who would raise children to be criminals
I think the focus on whether abortion is murder is missing the point. Almost all the effects of abortion are positive

I, for one, don’t think we should live in a society where mothers can murder their babies before or after birth. And if we apply your practical concerns further, then women would be allowed to abandon their babies post-birth (or worse) if they decide they simply don’t want it anymore. Just barbaric society. |
