Date: February 26th, 2020 8:52 PM Author: violent sweet tailpipe box office I’ve recently started in a new firm. It was a particularly exciting job to get because the senior partner is known to be a genius, and being part of his team makes a big difference in a resumé.
Well, I started working two months ago, while the senior partner was on vacation followed by a month-long work trip. He came back last week and the first time I saw him at work was, literally, when he exited a conference room and proceeded to a table close to mine, picked up a coworker’s keyboard, and hit it against the table till it broke.
Worse, nobody batted an eye at this. The senior associate later told me, very casually, he usually breaks a keyboard or two per month, usually his but not always. Oh, and he might also punch holes in the drywall sometimes.
I am now feeling unsafe (even though he supposedly never attacked anyone), and worried that it might begin to affect my performance. I have some childhood traumas, and start to shake whenever I see him. Should I talk to the senior associate about this, or just try to stay away from him? Should I just leave and find a new job, even though this one could be such a great career boost? Any tips at all? |

In a separate incident, he explicitly threatened to rape a project manager who made a fuck up and brought in two incompatible pieces of equipment that were supposed to work together. No ambiguity, straight up "I will rape you for this". Completely normal and OK. - I should note this PM was a 350 lb pizza faced neckbeard and I have zero doubt CEObro was lying. |

He'd throw that fucker at the wall so hard that it would go through the drywall between rooms and fall to the bottom so they would regularly have to cut the drywall down to the floor to retrieve this heavy ass stapler and then replace the wall. Had a big enough book of business that the firm would let him Weinstein associates with his terror without any real issues. One time he did it to a female associate and she was moved yo our T&E group and pretty much coasted for years until she went mommy track and now works 3 days a week.
I've been inhouse at large and small asset mgrs and hedge funds and have never seen anything close to what I've experienced in Biglaw. |
