There are LOTS of retarded looking handguns out there whereas Glocks are at least stoic looking. Also, you can put in a Glock 18 mag (30 rounds) which is 180. Holsters are more common for Glocks. Maybe the rust thing for the PPQ. The PPQ trigger is considered "cocked" so it's less safe than a Glock if anything in terms of shooting yourself.
The PPQ trigger is amazing by striker standards but is close to 1911 territory. In my case I just got a 1911. You could get the top of the line PPQ, the Q5, with the steel frame, and it'd probably be like shooting any 1911.
Also triggers seem to matter more for n00bs, pros are oblivious to the PPQ and mostly use Glocks (with enhanced triggers) afaik. |

I was looking at Springfields but I didn't want something that said "Range Officer" or "Operator" on it and the Ruger was a better deal. It's the same price/cheaper than an extremely base model Colt but with way more "features."
There's nothing special about a Colt but many competitors use the frames. Metallugy nerds like that they don't use MIM parts. For me though, there's nothing special about a Colt 1911 vs others. Colt Peacemaker or other revolvers are another story. It's not like the Colt 1911 of WW2 is a legend, it was just one of several manufacturers, and everyone hated/ didn't care about 1911s back then for some reason anyway.
Glocks are overpriced irl due to fanboys, I got it for around Glock MSRP and it's like a much better gun imho.
Honestly if you're a n00b, don't even get a handgun, get a shotgun, does everything 49840983x better and literally does everything from deer to geese to clay to niggers nbd. |

Like whatever FN or S&W or Springfield is being phased out at any given time. Glocks never go on sale. Whereas you can get a VP9 or P320 or PPQ on sale sometimes.
Since all of the Glock clones confuse me and I just want to be like a Cool internet poaster and have a Glock, but don't want to pay more for no reason, I decided to get none of them. |
