Using Strava, two runs so far:

1. 1.70 miles, 348 elev gain, 21m 36s

2. 1.67 miles, 275 elev gain, 18m 50s

I estimated the 2nd run to be a lot longer but was surprised that it was slightly shorter. Encouraged by the progress but hoooly shit am I out of shape.

Once you can do an hour you're in good shape. Start doing fartleks to get faster.

I used to lift pretty consistently before the virus. This is just something to be competitive about while I'm sitting at home. Plus with two little ones and a history of heart disease in my family I thought it was a good time to get my cardio back.

ty brother, I was always taught that once you get distance you can improve pace. My goal once the virus lifts is to go back to lifting and run for 45 mins to an hour twice a week.

Anyone can at least go three miles. You should be able to do 4-5 from just off the couch
