People should prepare for months of social distancing imo. The economy is fucked until there is a vaccine widely available. Even then, there will be residual trauma and fear of large gatherings. we are probably getting better from a medical perspective but getting the economy back up and running in the near-term is going to be a slog
we'll have rapid advancements in testing / treatment but that will take a while to ramp up and meanwhile the cat-mouse containment measures will dampen recovery
our response to the bat flu is like giving half doses to a cancer patient randomly . . . i don't really anticipate the patient doing wind sprints any time soon |
