Trying to start now. Want to move to eu at least part of the year in the future. Probably spain, cheaper. But I already learned French a little. Should I start spanosh from 0 by buying audio CD plus book? Or continue with french?

You’re smart enough to do both. You already learned English and that is harder than either.

learn german...the hard part about learning a romance language is not the actual learning of it, but being able to understand native speakers speaking it...native speakers of romance language speak their language very fast...

german is spoken fairly slowly in comparison and is thus easier to understand for non-native speakers

German is completely useless because most germans speak english plus either French or spanish. Want to impress a German speak one of those languages to them

Have studied both but am focusing more on french these days. Start with Whichever one interests you more. French vocab is closer to english than spanish, so i feel like building vocab in french was faster for me than with spanish. french pronounication and spelling are a little more difficult though.

Spanish is probably more practical on a global level because so many countries in Latin America speak it to the exclusion of other languages. The places where people speak French and not English would be most of France, half of Belgium and then a bunch of third world countries in Africa and the Caribbean.

French is more elegant and prestigious though.

I speak both relatively well. These are seemingly two of the easiest languages for an English speaker to learn but you'll have to put in a lot of hard yards to get anything out of it nonetheless. I would pick Spanish because there's far more spics than frogs who don't speak a lick of English. Spanish also goes further towards understanding eyetalian and Portuguese

Move to Andorra, and base your decision on what your new Andorran gf speaks.

French is harder to become fluent or sound local in, Spanish is easier but less sexy. In order to learn either well you need to live there for 3-6 months and then the language will click.

I speak Spanish relatively well and didnt know any French when I moved to Paris. After a year I was conversational just from living there. I can read and understand conversations, I speak like a 4 year old but dont have the vocab recall I'd like to not sound like a bumbling idiot. When you stop using it you lose it, but it comes back pretty quickly whenever I'm back in France. It was a lot easier learning French since I already had a good background in Spanish - but either will help with learning the other.
