Honda hybrids still do not transition between electric and gas as smoothly as Toyotas, and they are generally not as fast. Hybrid Camrys now match Accord hybrids on mileage I think. Honda's current hybrid system looks great but we just don't know how it will age. Will 2016 models with direct injection engines need $700 worth of carbon buildup cleaning soon? We won't know until enough of these cars have been on the road long enough. Toyota still uses EFI and shit. They still use NiMH batteries because of superior durability, whereas I'm sure Honda is using lithium ion. Toyota hybrid batteries are usually good for 200k miles.

The ICE Camry sucks now though so Honda wins there. Honda is the only company making good CVTs, or so least that's what I thought until they recalled like 150k Civics with CVTs. Don't know what the deal is with the Accord CVT. If you can get an accord with a manual it would pwn.

How long have they had them? Has anyone put 250k miles on one? I have heard good things about the CVT in the CR-V but again I don't know how they hold up long term. Honda automatics were weird/high maintenance and never worked well with V6 engines, so I can believe their CVTs are an improvement. I think if I were shopping for one though I'd look for a used 4-cyl automatic with low miles and just change the fluid every 35k miles. I think the old ones are port injected too, so there's another thing I don't have to worry about.

I liked my gen 3 Acura TL-S which is just a stick shift accord with leather and sport suspension.

Car & Driver loves it, but they are always referring to the 2.0T version when they say the Accord is genuinely fun to drive, which is like $5k more
