we live in a very urban area so don’t need a car, but wife is insisting we get one when the baby is born in a couple of months

I said fine but only a fucking used one and NO CROSSOVERS

what’s a respectable used SUV we can buy for trips to the grocery store and weekend road trips. and what’s too high of mileage to risk buying?

you 100% need a car once you have a kid. i cant stress it, clocks are right twice a day and so is your wife.

all suvs are basically crossovers.

get a crv for only weekend use. you can get one with 30k to 50k and it will be fine all the way to 200k.

a 1.5l would be fine with your needs. 2 lawnmowers tied together with bungee cords will get you to vermont and back without much problems once a month and the beach 4 times a year.

You can find one with 40-80k miles in the 20-25k range. They are badass.
