To be fair, it's households. And there was some other site that had a further breakdown by "head of household" age. A million net worth for the under 40 crowd is a very high percentile.

Looks like 95th percentile. 7% difference is pretty big (in the top 5 vs not even in the top 10).

1) 10 million is the new 1 million.

2) As pointed out up-thread by LTM, 1m is still prestigious if you're under 40.

3) 1m liquid investible assets is different than 1m inclusive of home equity.

Home dog, a few points: A 95th percentile SAT is around 1450, not 1380; being in the 95th percentile of drooling high school students being forced to take an SAT is different from being in the 95th percentile of all Americans in the race to try to accumulate wealth; don't you dare besmirch my alma mater Tufts again I rolled hard there for seven years studying cultural anthropology & orthopedic surgery. Thanks

wrong shithead 1380 is 95th percentile

https://blog.prepscholar.com/sat-historical-percentiles-for-2005-2004-2003

and what ur saying makes no fuking sense. 95th percentile among all americans is worse than 95th percentile among HS students taking the SAT bc all americans includes HS dropouts and ppl who knew straight up they were too stupid to go to college so they didn't take the SAT. only like the top 50% of HS students even take the SAT so 95th percentile of the general population is like 90th percentile SAT.

lmfao u fucking stupid faggot your percentiles are off, totally off, you're relying on the pre-adjustment data and not reflecting the Argment revision that they published two years ago. If you're not reflecting the Argment revision then you're not dealing with new data.

lol are you suddenly an XO demographer? I don't need to refute shit I'm using the Laurent study with the adjustment I described above which provides a standardized percentile that is invariant with age. It's been stress tested and is industry standard now; I don't know whatever old shit you were relying on back in the Stone Age but this represents the consensus view on testing percentiles. If you'd like to take the stanines up, go fight with the Laurent committee in Paris, don't bitch about it here.

The basic boomer life is buying a house in the 70s or 80s for 40k, worth between 500k-1.5m now, plus they saved 20k a year with 8% compounded returns. They’re still the largest demographic and they’re recently retired.
