i had a thought the other day that its happening because the ad agency guys are all super libs and they know that no corporate board or marketing VP can turn down a copy because "it's too black" or "it's too queer". so the libs are turning it up to 11 just because they can. it's also provocative which is generally positive in advertising but there's got to be a point at which the provocation becomes repulsive to consumers and the company tells the agency to chill out. we'll see! |
