Because there is a chip shortage, us companies have to buy these chips in China-denominated currency. Think if you had to buy chips using Bitcoin only and they wouldn’t accept usd.
Saudi Arabia plays ball with China.
China taking over Taiwan ruins us credibility and begins in motion a realignment of Asia towards China. Japan in particular acts like the Philippines in relation to China: they flip.
