I don't get why certain words are so popular in English, especially words used to express the shittiness of others.

I grew up speaking 2 languages. I made a list some time ago of several words that have no meaning in the other language, I don't have the list handy now, but I can give 3 examples of words that exist in English and not in the other language to describe other humans.

Cringe-worthy - this word is non-existent in the 2nd language I speak. In Google translate, the translation is "noteworthy", just go figure. And cringe means "dying of embarrassment" that's the best translation so not even a word.

Clingey: Again, word does not even exist, the translation is "adhere".

Finally: Needy, lol. Another English language favorite, but it means "poor or underprivileged"

JFC at this culture of hatred.

Is there a reason why so many words are so incredibly specific and also so popular and they all are negative?

"Is there a reason why so many words are so incredibly specific"

Probably because English is super specific and clear unlike most other languages. Duh

I have lived abroad in different regions of the world and studied a few languages.

Duh because in 1 short sound, it implies that you missed the obvious point in answering your own question.

Well, let me make a different point. Provide 3-5 words for positive attributes and I'll tell you if they exist in English.

Personally, I can give you 3:

Poised: Does not exist, but it is a mix of 3 words, so English just put them together.

Charming: Exists

Amazing: Exists

So yeah, whatever faggot. You just proved my point as well. English speakers are mostly assholes.

Pensive: Not really, it just means engaged in his thoughts.

Brooding: Not that I know about a similar word. It would be disqueting.

Wistful: Yearning

Yeah, you chose words that are very close in meaning, but I doubt your average English speaker uses them very often. Why would there be an exact word for them in a second language? I was talking about words that even trailer park fucks can use.

wtf does this mean? You want me to give you 3-5 positive words in English and you will let me know if they exist in English?

Italian is the best fuckin language in the world, and that's why English--which is not as good--is based off of it.

It ain't necessary. It's just a cultural trait. I'm pretty sure Italians have no problems speaking on the phone without having to gesticulate as they speak.

did you grow up speaking Navajo or something lol. Having lots of words to describe something is usually a good thing for a language. Philosophy is often written in German because its a precise language.
