LA County: No tenant evictions through March 2024 to "solve homelessness"

I’m introducing a motion to put tenant protections in place throughout LA County as part of our ongoing homelessness emergency.

1. Prohibit landlords from evicting tenants without cause through March 2024.
2. Prevent eviction because additional family/pets moved in during COVID.
This would apply to renters in cities without existing protections. We can & must act. |

The landlord can petition the city to reimburse them (I know several landlords who have done this successfully).
