To be fair,
Yes, actually, you smug little self-impressed faggot. As usual, it seems like you actually don't know a lot about this subject even though you seem to fancy yourself an expert or something.
"This new pending report [i.e. the 2022 FBI Crime Data Report] will be the first time since 1991 that the FBI releases data exclusively from the newer reporting system, even though some agencies have been using it for decades."
So yes, the FBI literally switched up its own reporting methodology beginning in 2022 and it now "runs the numbers" in a way that is literally different from the way it put the report together in 2017 - 2021 (and coincidentally "leaves out" a ton of data involving crime in many of the biggest cities in America). Literally.
Thanks for asking!

To be fair,
Whoa you said a sarcasm -- guess that means the multiple links I provided which say that the FBI is indeed literally using an entirely different methodology (which leaves out a ton of data from violent big cities hmmmmmmmmm) to put this report together now than it was prior to 2021 are incorrect and I'm just retarded and wrong as usual.
Grrr, we dull and ignorant Trumpkins just can't win against you brilliant and educated libs!
Anyway, please proceed governor.

To be fair,
Sorry that you were demonstrably wrong about something you were trying to be a sarcastic little faggot about, got called out for being demonstrably wrong (with links to back up the refutation), and are now continuing to act like a pissy faggot bitch as though you won this exchange or something.
Maybe you should try to avoid doing that in the future if you don't like how this process works? IDK just a thought, also maybe stop mutilating children btw

Another reptile absolutely losing his shit because something good happened when a Democrat was in office.
And sorry, no, the total number of violent crimes in 2022 was about the same as the numbers in 2018-2019 (the per capita rate was lower). And 2023 was lower still:

I love the way that reptiles will just literally make shit up rather than acknowledge that crime went down under a Democrat.

wow, that's great news!
what do you attribute to this reduction? is it biden's economic miracle despite everyone feeling more economically insecure than they did before? was it defunding the police? perhaps there was something about the lockdowns that you shoved down our throats that led to this?
i'm sincerely thrilled the homicide rate is down and i don't care at all that it happened under a democrat potus. unlike you guys i like to see good things happen regardless of whose "team" is in charge. now, what exactly would you attribute this reduction from?

ROFL! Yet another reptile MAF that crime is decreasing under a Democrat.
Just in case that was a serious question, my answer is that notwithstanding the spike in crime during the pandemic in 2020-2021, crime has been steadily decreasing for decades. My guess is that this had very little to do with Biden and more to do with this long-term trend. And the question of why crime starting declining in the early 90's is a hotly debated question that has kept a lot of sociologists employed. It was probably due to a large number of different factors is the short summary. If I wanted to be highly sympathetic to Biden, I might suggest that his loose fiscal policy kept unemployment low, which probably lowered crime a bit. But I think the decrease is mostly due to the long-term trend that was completely unrelated to Biden.
And for the record, I am slightly left of center moderate who is not a fan of either Biden or Trump. I just think it's hilarious to watch the reptiles lose their shit ITT, just as the OP predicted.

Oh come on. This is infantile logic. My alarm went off this morning right as the sun came up. I suppose you think that my alarm was responsible for the rising sun, huh? Just because A and B happen at the same time doesn't mean that A caused B.
Also, LJL at "ending emergency pandemic provisions pushed by [Biden's] party." Who was the president in 2020? I can't remember.
As I said before, I don't think the increase in crime in 2020-2021 had anything to do with Trump or Biden, nor do I think the decrease since 2021 had anything to do with Biden. I just think it's hilarious that people will make all kinds of ridiculous claims to give credit to their side and avoid giving credit to the other side.

i agree that trump 100% deserves culpability for initial covid policy. but which side was pushing for it? and do you think trump would have continued with it as long as biden?
and what are you saying here? yeah, trump initiated all this shit. but he also gets a lot of shit for not doing enough. so which is it? should he have done less to mitigate the negative effects of the policy? or should he have done more, which would have increased the negative consequences?
i don't know where you stand on covid policy so i'm not attributing this to you personally. but as a group, it seems unfair for trump to be blamed for the increase in crime caused by covid lockdowns while also criticizing him for not doing enough. especially when the democrats were simultaneously advocating for defunding the police during a time crime was dramatically increasing.

Without going too far into the weeds on COVID policy, I'll just say that in retrospect, the lockdowns probably did more harm than good. And I don't really blame Trump for that, because he was just following the guidance of public health experts at the time. I do blame Trump for not taking the virus seriously and not pushing zero cost interventions (such as mask wearing and vaccination) more aggressively.
But that's beside the point. I'm not trying to say that Trump deserves to be blamed because crime increased after an unprecedented public health experiment (i.e., general lockdowns) had unintended consequences. I'm just pointing out the ridiculousness of blaming Biden/the Democrats for the increase in crime in 2020. (For example, I think a more accurate version of your statement would be, "a few idiot lefties at rallies and on the Internet advocated defunding the police, and mainstream Democrats immediately tried to disassociate themselves from them.") People always want to blame the other side when something bad happens but not give them any credit when something good happens. Personally, I would say that law enforcement has always been primarily a state/local issue in the U.S., so it's pretty absurd to give credit/blame for an increase/decrease in crime to POTUS.

Under a Democratic POTUS, the economy always seems to do better. Crime is always down when the economy is better.
Ergo, under a Dem POTUS, crime always goes down.
