(Though Choate over performs at Yale because some Choate students’ parents are Yale faculty members given the proximity; you see similar things at Boston Latin, etc.) Boarding schools still send large numbers to the Ivy League and the kids who they send are generally much more prepared than public students and have more social skills/independence than the Daltons, Spences, and Harvard Westlakes of the world.
