most nfl franchises are not trying to win the superbowl. theyre trying to make money in whatever godforsaken market theyre stuck in. profits them much more to keep the grift going and away from oversight or perception of corruption

1. It was obviously bullshit. Even if he did intentionally instruct his assistants to let some air out of the ball, there’s a bunch of people saying tons of other QBs were doing similar shit. It was more neurotic ocd level shit than a real advantage
2. Point 1 is proven by the fact that he came back after his suspension and totally dominated and won more super bowls. Obviously didn’t mean anything
3. Btw this is also why no one gives a shit about the videotaping. The pats were just as good or better after the scandal.

"No other athlete has got caught cheating on that level and continued their career."
Do you not follow sports at all?
Tons of baseball players got dinged for steroids and continued their careers just fine. Even more football players and no one cares at all about it in that sport. It's a known secret the NBA right now is all on PEDs.
Baseball pitchers were scuffing the hell out of the ball like 3 years ag and they had to crack down on it. When a player gets caught now with sticky stff they just get tossed for that game and no one cares - it doesn't become this huge saga for decades.
Teams are fines or docked draft picks for cheating almost every year - pumping fake crowd noise, tampering, hiding shit from the salary cap.
Only the dumbest sports fan would consider deflategate anything other than the mildest of sports scandals. If the Astros was an 8, this was a 1.5....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Yee
Brady has praised Yee as "a great advisor for me. He's always been focused on football. When I got out of college and was looking for someone to represent me, there were a lot of options. He was someone that really had the same goal where I could find the right spot and my career could flourish ... Whatever your personal goals were, he would support that. [Yee wasn't interested] necessarily in the goals of what an agent may be, but what your goals may be. My goal has always been winning and he's tried to support that in the best way he could and that's why I have so much respect for him."[7] During the Deflategate controversy, The Boston Globe described Yee as Brady's "chief surrogate" and "uber-agent",[8] while The Washington Post called him Brady's "super agent".[1]
