anyone who doesnt respect that is a broken, sad person. even if you're gung-ho for iran, you should be able to say "i disagree with his decision but i respect his contributions, sacrifices, and that he is doing what he thinks is right according to his own convictions."

this is something entirely different. the equivalent would be if we went to war with iran with congressional approval. while i would still think its stupid and misguided, it would be what people wanted (or at least people would have the opportunity to vote against it in november.) |
