TBH the story is probably much stronger journalistically than it is as a short thesis
the ETF trades extremely close to NAV—typically around a 0.1% premium or discount—an exposé probably wouldn’t cause the ETF itself to collapse; it will lose assets but arbitrage would keep its price tied to the value of the stocks it owns
there's probably some more exotic way to make money on it but I don't know how
I contacted a hedge fund but they didn't answer me so screw it im just going to do it for justice and clicks
