I just bought 2 pairs of New Balance 574s in the same color

So I decided to get a 3rd pair to get free shipping. I'm fond of 574s, but there was only one color in my size that was 40% off. So I just got two pair of the same 574s.
Kind of silly on my part, my current pair of 574s isn't even worn out yet. |

i like retro running shoes, but nb's always seem to have thick midsoles. right now have some adidas run 70s 2.0's and galaxy og's
can't fucking believe asics can charge 200 bucks for tigers these days, those things used to be 60-80 |

I like the clean looks & how relatively inexpensive they are. |

Date: August 20th, 2026 9:43 PM Author: bloomington (🦬) I like a more minimalist look too, but so many sneakers with minimalist looks have a flatter gum sole. I have Nike Killshot 2s and I like how they look but they aren't nearly as comfy as 574s.
I want something with 574 soles but minimalist uppers. (But I'm also cheap and to the extent that such a thing exists, I suspect it would cost a lot more than the ~$40/pr I just paid for 574s) |

The pair I'm currently wearing I *really* like, it was some special edition they did in 2021 for their "Grey Day" (whatever the fuck that is). It's a really clean look because it doesn't have the 'N' on the side.
