One of my early young lawyer jobs was drafting a noise control ordinance for Providence, R.I. Why they hired somebody in Boston is still a mystery to me, but I had a small environmental reputation at the time. Or maybe it was mob connection. Who knows? Got a lot of pushback from motorcycle people in the hearings.
