Thunder Collins update: the endgame nears

We tried to go to the San Clemente beach a couple weeks ago and they shut it down. So I drop her off at our neighborhood playground to use the sand there instead. A guy in the neighborhood comes up and harasses her and tells her she should be ashamed of putting her daughter's life at risk. He comes back multiple times and starts recording her. My wife went ballistic on them and she calls me screaming. I go to talk to the guy who did this and chew him out for being a dick and they call the cops on us. Six cop cars show up for a domestic violence call.
She screams for hours a day and has threatened to kill me multiple times. I woke up one night last week to her punching me in the head. My daughter asked me if mommy had hurt me last weekend and I said no. She later grabs my daughter and tells her - while she is in tears - that daddy is a bad man and he hurts mommy.
I told her I want a divorce and that she is mentally ill and have begun reaching out to lawyers this morning.

She is highly emotional and craves tons of emotional support that frankly I don’t have the energy for with two young kids and everything else. She also is a neat freak and I am messy.
The biggest issue is I have been happy to let her get up with the kids while I sleep until 6. I do things like give a late night feeding or take care of both kids in the morning so she can go back to bed if she wakes me up. But I am a heavy sleeper and just don’t hear the baby’s crying while she is immediately awake if he coughs in the middle of the night. |

I actually started typing that holding onto the videos for years could backfire on your DVRO case, but then I remembered that she was threatening to file false allegations against you.
You could convince a judge that originally you started collecting these videos to protect yourself if she filed false allegations against you, but that her behavior became increasingly erratic and now you actually fear for your safety and that of your children.
You probably want to file a motion for a psych eval and if you are willing to spend the money you should file a motion for a custody evaluation. These things could cost $20-30K, but your chances are 1000x greater of winning a custody battle via a custody evaluation than leaving your fate to a 90 IQ Family Court services social worker. |

Sure you can treat some ancillary symptoms like anxiety, depression with drugs but there is NO proven therapeutic for BPD. doctors avoid even diagnosing people with it because there is no hoap. the only thing to show any efficacy whatsoever is intense CBT, which basically no BPD people will ever complete.
if you met someone with narcissistic personality disorder would you tell them to go to a doctor? no, of course not, that would be ridiculous. it's the same thing with BPD. these cluster B disorders are to humans what a crack in the foundation is to a building. |

I've already told TC all of the above multiple times. He seems to even recognize and believe it. Yet he plods on. One day he'll reach rock bottom and get out. It's a shame he's wasting years of his life this way though. |
