A game like Minecraft is actually more important than the US or any nation

I remember back in college circa 2012 there was a very endearing tomboy girl next door type in my French conversation class who was constantly bringing up her love for Minecraft in class presentations, repeatedly explaining what it was and why it was so brilliant to the ridiculously (unironically) gorgeous inside and out Belgian teacher, who would herself self-deprecatingly joke that she was too old to know how advanced video games have become and needed it to be explained again by her passionate student, etc.
So that’s my connection to the HISTORY of Minecraft. (I’m gay but that’s another conversation for another thread!)
