Has anyone in history reached the level of worldwide fame Michael Jackson did?

youre being sloppy with your categories and numbers
i presume you mean "in his lifetime", and so of course Jesus is out of the conversation
and i also presume you mean total headcount of people who recognize this celebrity. so, naturally, anyone famous in an era of mass communication and a global pop over 5 billion is going to win.

There is a stratosphere of "globally recognizable" and then all these unimportant, noisy factors like
- were there 8 billion people on earth, or only 6.9 billion (2001)
- how many chinks had internet access
etc
Every year there are more humans, and every year there is more distribution of media
So 2025 people will beat 2017 people, etc.
Does that make them "moar famous"? Mathematically, I guess.
I think the only meaningful thing to do is to acknowledge that a small group have reached "global fame while alive".
Popes, potuses, pop stars, soccer stars.
Again, presuming this whole convo is bracketed by 'while still alive'. Otherwise obv Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha

while still alive is an important component and you are not explaining it clearly because you are a retarded tranny pedophile.
while still alive = Trump (not remotely close)
all time = Jesus (also not remotely close)
michael fucking jackson couldn't hold trumps nutsack and you are a retard

yeah he's the first one i think of for counter examples.
he reached the absolute pinnacle and there was nothing he could have done to increase recognition. he spanned the globe.
BUT he peaked during a smaller global pop and before the internet, so someone lesser than he, but who is famous today, would surpass his headcount.
you just need to identify the handful of people who maxed out, and he was one of them

as for all of history op is clearly flame. but off top of my head: Jesus, Alexander, George Washington, napoleon, Byron, Shakespeare, etc...
