Visiting the concentration camp was kind of depressing, especially when it reminded me of my own life. I'm almost 370 lbs. and can barely walk. I went to Costco's before our trip to Poland and tried to stock up, but the prices were still too high. I guess the showers at Auschwitz were sad, but mostly because it reminded me that I can no longer fit in my shower at home. Someone actually suggested that my wife just hose me down in the driveway, but that would be humiliating. My job is miserable and my finances are in ruins. But yeah, visiting the camp was a sad experience.
