Epstein became very good at creating this environment of mysterious, hedonistic playgrounds with his island and townhouse where older men could live out their teen fantasies of partying with hot nubile young women, and the specter of being connected to so many powerful and rich men, which itself attracted other powerful and rich men afraid they were missing out on something. He understood the egos of extremely successful people perfectly. As well as the human nature to be intrigued by the prospect of otherworldly (yet safe) hedonism, an escape from the routines of everyday life. Who among us wouldn't have been tempted to see the island during Epstein's prime? And I don't doubt there was plenty of kinky sex going on. And most of the girls were just barely legal.
But actual Israeli/Mossad spy schemes and genuine pedophilia? Doesn't look like it. And what's happening so far is that the paranoia around the Epstein files, and the fallout from the revelations, are more extreme than what actually went on.
I like to tell myself the truth is always simple and it is always staring directly at you in the face. It's people who surround the truth with lies and call it complicated. And if that applies here, then yeah, the truth is that Epstein was an egoistic playboy who threw parties that attracted rich/powerful men and hooked them up with nubile women. And made himself rich in the process. And that seems to be it.
