I've got disability compensation $7800/mo from the federal government I did my time serving in operation desert storm and its lesser known little brother operation desert shield, later I went to alaska and became a Gen X dad and here I am today disables and retired ready to game. as I said Im Gen X. to the best of my recollection I had a lot of respect for Sega but only played sparsely. PS1 was also seen as the thinking man's console and for solitary philosophical types plus it had CDs. CDs were considered cool in the 90s, kids. anyway my favorites consist of final fight, street fighter II, mortal kombat also (blood version), where I enjoyed fatalities. I have nothing impeding my ability to game and am only disabled in the way that gets you paid by the government, I am not impeded from doing s***. also this isn't fraud. they don't make me prove that I am actually disabled. anyway, I digress.
favorite classic consoles I can afford now but never got to get were sega CD and jaguar. are these a good place to start? my buddy says I should avoid disc based consoles unless I get a "satiator" or whatever the f*** that is. I am also intrigued above all else by the Sega 32X which believe it or not, back in my day was like the holy grail for arcade perfect gameplay attainable to men of modest means from star wars arcade to virtua fighter and more. and of course mortal kombat with blood and fatalities 💀. after that though where do I start?
