I just want the people on this shitboart to remember that if they believe that STRONGLY about saving something that they should actively participate. Its very very easy to say "uungh white western culture" but people should be supporting those arts as well. With classical music in particular the older generation is dying out and I frankly don't see the younger generations at symphony/opera performances.

I bought season symphony tickets with a friend of mine. we each bought our own seats & we split the cost of a third seat. every performance we bring a random person/friend in hopes that they will in turn buy tickets for future performances and/or season tickets next year.
