I am kind of shocked to look around and see how low my QOL is and how cheap my stuff is as a mid-career lawyer. My wife and I work all the time and make about 2/3 dementia mom and her husband made when they were mid-career in the 1990s. They were not professionals and did not have stressful jobs that required bending over backwards for shithead clients and staying up all night. I could be angry about not getting as far as they got, but what really bothers me is just not being able to sleep. |
