He had talked to our coach beforehand and they tried to keep it all hush hush, but we heard him say he was from the Royals (who sucked absolute ass in those years). After every single strike, a bro on our bench would yell "ROYALLLLL FLUSHHHHHHHHH!!!" And during people's at bats, a bro would yell "hey, give em the ol George Brett now!"

At practice, scouts come visit to talk to you. The visits were fun (I did 3), they basically kiss your ass and you go party with the other recruits. It was fun to see my name in the newspaper too, on Saturdays it was aways fun to get the newspaper to see what was written and if you were mentioned.
