She gained a ton of weight from the meds. He got a vasectomy because getting her pregnant again was a pretty bad idea. When the kid was about 7 she apparently decided she didn't want to be a mom anymore. My buddy got primary custody of the kid in a relatively amicable divorce.
He meets a new chick pretty quick. She's already got two kids and one of them has Downs. So they've already collectively got three kids, one of which has special needs and will require care for their lifetime. And they're doing IVF to have more.
They're at least doing chromosomal testing of the embryos so I guess they're not likely to end up with another special needs kid but the whole thing seems pretty harebrained to me. |
