On a lighthearted note regarding all this deplatforming business.
When the Ukraine war started, our Patreon became the prime target of pro-Ukrainians worldwide. Reddit posts with thousands of updoots, mass-reporting campaigns... And the result was big, fat fucking nothing. We kept operating for years while the platform's administration serenely ignored the howling mob.
Then the Iran war started. We took a side. Not nearly as radical as before, with plenty of caveats, acknowledging Iran's own weaknesses and leadership failures. But essentially critical of what we see as an unprovoked US/Israel war. That apparently got some pro-Israelis upset. Maybe just one of them. They weren't particularly vocal about it. And yet Patreon pulled the plug on us almost immediately.
Who holds more sway: 10,000+ fired-up pro-Ukrainians, or 1 (one) aggrieved Zionist?
Now you know :)
