Pro-Russia Pragmatists: have your views evolved at all?

Are you still rooting for Russia to win? If so why?
Do you think we should help Russia defeat Ukraine? If so why?
Do you acknowledge that you were wrong about most of your assumptions, many of which were based on talking points fed to people like Joe Rogan?
Does it bother you that despite the US pulling nearly all military support, Ukraine was able to find more success on its own?
Was it a good or bad thing that we openly turned our back on our allies which in turn strengthened their unity and, in part, alienated us? |

A couple of observations... Ukraine was clearly given the greenlight to attack Russian oil infrastructure. I believe that was mostly off limits before. There is also deeper and better targeting. That's clearly being supplied by the US. Basically we opened the playbook up on asymmetrical war there. Keep in mind this is about energy leverage and fucking over China. Keep that goal in mind and things make more sense. |

Yes, for the same reasons I always have. Ukrainian nationalists are assholes that deserve to lose and the whole thing is backed by the worst people on the planet (Soros types along with neocons). I've noticed that the more familiar people are with W. Ukrainians (the culture that is being extolled) the less they like them. Right now Ukraine is in a huge fight with Poland because Ukraine has decided to lionize the UPA/OUN (Nazis in WW2 that massacred hundreds of thousands of Poles, mostly women and children, along with Ukrainians that commited the crime of trying to save innocents and of course Jews and Russians. Also noteworthy was their particular sadism and brutality in how they murdered their victims).

A part of me would love this but in reality we should have stayed out of this from day 1. Of course, we helped create every aspect of this and if we didn't do that then this war wouldn't have happened in the first place. Our ideal foreign policy is that we should avoid these foreign wars but I guess if we have to pick a side then I'd rather we side with Russia.

Exactly 0 of my thoughts on Russia/Ukraine are based on anything Rogan or really any American has told me.

At no point was Ukraine "on its own." The EU increased funding, existing funding from the Biden era is still going to Ukraine. They continue to get Starlink, intelligence sharing and weapons even if the weapons sometimes come through an indirect route.
