To pursue this approach we have to play chicken with oil prices rising to the point where gas goes above $6/gallon nationally by the fall and we will deplete our missile and drone defense capacity to the point that increasingly GCC and Jordanian targets are sitting ducks. And those wishcasted outcomes of collapse/capitulation of the regime are impacted by the regime’s own capacity to cover up problems and placate security forces for the next 90 days. So it’s an insane bet by Trump that could never work and has to be a fig leaf to procrastinate on eating the shit sandwich of permanent Iranian control of SoH. |
