Karma Sushi DESPERATELY needs to lower prices at least 30%

This is going to be the death of this esteemed resto if it's not corrected. It's not even in a nice location, a strip mall next to a Panda Express and hobos is NOT nice. You cannot charge Nobo whatever prices.

Sushi is good, not mind blowing to pay $26-55 for rolls and minimum $30 for a sashimi plate in this neighborhood. Cocktails good but at $17/18 a pop I would like some alcohol in it. The prices for this neighborhood are just not justified. There is a homeless dude chilling by your car and a Panda Express next door. The restaurants that survive here are mostly casual dining and I don't see this place lasting more than a year. And that's with the owner exhausting a loan and his own funds. Oh and your mandatorily obligated to pay a minimum 20% tip. I'm not cheap just saying what everyone else is thinking.

The price is better at Katsuya locations including the amount of food choices for sushi. I was happy to try out this place, but have no interest to go back again.

Shawn F. Glendale, CA 01412 9/3/2023 Overpriced by 30-50% more than its comparable places on Ventura Blvd. The staff is amazing and food is great, but not with the huge price tag. Rolls should be $25-40 where down the street it's $15-25. Lastly, the music is pretty loud but not too bothersome.

I wouldn't recommend this place and won't be going back. I however do highly recommend Iroha down the way. As someone who has dined in Tokyo, there's no semblance of Japanese hospitality. I hate to leave a bad review, but this place totally let me down. |
