i'd say 20 percent
a max lift is a poor indicator of strength, imo

it seems like the additional weight reaches a point of very sharply diminishing returns.
eg, the all-time record at any weight is mendelson's 715lbs. truly remarkable. but as you note, he was 350 when he did that.
now if we cut that weight almost in half - down to 181 - the bench record for that weight level is NOT cut in half. in fact, it's hanging out at 556lbs.

and I think a combined DL/BP is a good indicator of power and strength.

When looking at the entire world population, the percentage of humans who can bench press 225 lbs (102.1 kg) at any given moment is exceptionally small—estimated to be well under 0.5%, and likely closer to 0.05% to 0.1%.
While hitting a "two-plate" bench press is a common milestone in fitness circles, expanding the data pool to include every human on Earth completely shifts the statistics.
