Tim - who could not even graduate high school - somehow figured out that once the schedule’s posted, management can’t change it without offering “predictability pay.”
Today, he waltzed in and announced he’d be leaving for Cancun tomorrow, because “The schedule says I’m here, but I never agreed, friend.”
When I pointed out the chaos his absence would cause, he just grinned and said, “That sounds like a management problem.”
Spent the day juggling two registers while Karen tried to return expired yogurt from 2021.
Closed late, stared at Tim’s “beach vibes” post on Instagram, and whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.” |
