No matter your politics, these new numbers are shocking. Of the 7 million migrants that ICE released while their cases are being processed, 663,000 have criminal histories, 13,000 were convicted of homicide, 16,000 of sexual assault, and 1,845 face homicide charges.

Yet again showing that xo has TTTSEF-level RC. This says the 13,000 murderers are not "detained" *by ICE. That's because they are in state prisons, not b/c they're roaming the streets.
Use your brain for two seconds -- the criminal convictions shown here are for convictions *in the United States. You think ICE can just call up El Salvador, and be like, "Hey can your run a crim background check on Hernando Martinez, aka Flaco, aka El Muerto? Oh, he was convicted in La Paz of murder? Okay, thanks!"

EPAH, my brother in christ,
1) first of all, original tweet referred to 7 million migrants, and 13k of those having murder convictions. not sure where 11 million came into the conversation.
2) your cato link says: "The homicide conviction rate for illegal immigrants was 2.4 per 100,000 illegal immigrants in 2015, which is lower than the homicide conviction rate of 2.8 per 100,000 for native-born Americans."
3) 13k per 7 million is a murder rate of 185.7 per 100,000. even if we go with your 11 million figure, that'd still be 118 per 100,000. see the issue?

Thats not true dumbass. NBC just did a write up on this and the total most definitely includes people who were convicted in their home countries, and it also includes people who are not currently serving time in prison/jail.
"More than 13,000 immigrants convicted of homicide — either in the United States or abroad — are living outside of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention, according to data ICE provided to Congress earlier this week.
The immigrants are part of ICE’s “non-detained” docket, meaning the agency has some information on the immigrants and they have pending immigration cases in the U.S., but they are not currently in detention either because they are not prioritized for detention, they are serving time in a jail or prison for their crimes, or because ICE cannot find them, three law enforcement officials said."
...
"Some may have crossed the border and then been released because Border Patrol lacks information on their criminal history. In many cases, the U.S. is not notified of someone’s criminal conviction until after they cross into the country."
