Holy shit, hockey fights used to be ridiculous

This apparently famous hockey "enforcer" (an established, well-accepted, and well-nigh officially sanctioned professional hockey position for somebody who just beats the shit out of people in fights, apparently) beats a dude in an NHL game so hard that two fans attempt to intervene from the front row -- and get punched in the face by a hockey player.
The fight itself is basically just two exceptionally large, strong, violent men fighting bare-knuckled, except the slightly larger and stronger of the two is fighting as though he actually believes that the only way to save the human race from total annihilation is to beat the other guy to death with his fists. |

Apparently in the NHL it's NBD when an entire team starts beating on a fan. Armed guards (or cops?) have to come to the fan's rescue, and they have trouble getting him out of there.
