It's like someone walked up to the Lighthouse of Alexandria, or the Great Pyramid of Giza, just after they were originally constructed, and their response was "doesn't this block out the sun?"

Such a comment makes someone inhuman, an NPC, and incapable of perceiving true awe.

Usually, I'd keep this a private affair, but today I'm writing it to inspire you. If anyone speaks negatively or skeptically about your actions that steer you to God's embrace, even if they are your family, then cut them out of your life. Never compromise your own mission or soul just to appease someone hateful or who doesn't understand.
