It's not because AMD GPUs can't do the math, it's because AMD doesn't have the money to spare on software development to support all these AI applications. The chips might be equivalent, but Nvidia makes all these developer kits available off the shelf.
Nvidia can only get away with this as long as everyone tolerates them HOGGING the developer space. That can't happen forever. At some point they need to innovate their designs for real. The RTX 4090 is as retarded as anything AMD makes. |
