Police have confirmed she was dragged beyond the off-ramp and out of reach of staff, leaving her dangling by the hood. What happened in between — how and when the lift was stopped — isn’t clear. Centre Vorlage owner Alex Gaboury declined an interview with The Gazette. But he told Wakefield newspaper the Low Down that “it was a series of improbable circumstances and … some are inexplicable.”

A six-year-old girl died in 2023 Article content The incident comes three years after a six-year-old girl died following a ski trip to Val St-Côme, where she fell and was dragged up the hill by a T-bar surface lift, also by her hood. Staff had stopped the mechanism when made aware someone was stuck, but turned it back on before verifying if the girl had been able to free herself. Her cause of death was asphyxiation. |
