I remember his thick Greek accent enunciating, trying to speak in terms his American grandkids would really understand. He said... "The JEW is not like me and YOU. You see somebody in trouble, you think...how can I help? The JEW sees someone in trouble... he says how can I make wealth?" he rubbed his fingers together on one hand.
He always called American blacks "μαυρίλα" (mavreela) so as to distinguish them from Africans. He served in the Greek military in WW2 and was stationed with the British in Egypt. After the war, he worked as a sailor bouncing around various ports in Africa for a few years, so he got to know Africans pretty well. He referred to Congolese people as μικρές μαϊμούδες (little monkeys) but everyone else was "skilo" (dogs).
It was interesting back then and it is so wholesome now, looking back on it. I am glad he is not alive to see how shit the country has become. |

when i was like 5 i remember my dad taking me by a guy's house he worked with and he said "look, boy. these people are niggers so don't say what we say at home about them." |
