1. We had an incredible week together, rented a vacation home with views of the sea for like 1200 a night, very romantic, amazing sex
2. I’ve almost been caught by my wife several times. She’s caught me messaging her a few times and demanded to know who it is and I’ve just told her no. Things are stressed.
3. I have couples therapy with my wife and things are nuclear at home.
4. Subordinate also has marriage problems predictably. She told him she wants a divorce. He wants to fix things. He took her to dinner to try to rekindle things with her and she spent the whole time sending me secret messages, felt bad for the guy.
5. It’s a little exhausting juggling all this. Subordinate wants to chat literally say long morning til night. My wife wants her cut. I have to work. Subordinate makes me happy and horny but yes it complicates my life a lot

Subordinate is clearly an emotionally needy psycho.
You are clearly retarded.

Life is hell, one is either chasing objects or bored, never satisfied
You are chasing an object here and if you end up with her you’ll think she sucks and pine for something else
Whatever you do you will regret it Ala Kierkegaard
You’re fucking up your kid though

this is just your justification speaking, the gold standard study, judith wallerstein's, studied middle class white kids in los angeles and tracked them for 25 years. half were from parents who stayed together, half were from parents who divorced. her conclusion was unequivocable: children whose parents stayed together, even if it was hell, had much better life outcomes than children whose parents divorced, even if the divorce was easy

here's the study, it's the gold standard, do what you want but be aware that you are fucking your kid up period

60 white families from southern california who were already seeking counseling, with no control group? oh what a gold standard
hard topic to study
could easily point to hetherington to say 75-80% of kids are resilient and adapt well
that said divorce out of boredom and chasing a younger woman seems ttt

The single most telling thing you have shared is the fact that your father left your mother when you were very young. What you probably realize on some level is that this subordinate affair is your way of connecting with your father. Of trying to actually know him and understand him.
You say "well I'll be there for my kid" but don't consider that your dad probably said the same thing.
You say "well you never know the mother could turn him against me, but he'll figure it out later on." Did your mom do that? Sounds like maybe you've still got beef with her, too.
This entire situation is a response to your childhood. You still have a chance to break the cycle IMO if you cut it off now and commit to your family. Whatever you do from here on out will imprint on your child in a way that you hopefully understand.
