McDermott, Will & Schulte posted a combined revenue of $2.99 billion in 2025, the firm said, with chair Ira Coleman calling it a “defining year for our firm.”
The total revenue includes both the combined performance last year of McDermott, Will & Schulte, a firm created through an August 2025 merger, as well as each legacy firm's individual performance in the first seven months of the year.
The 2025 merger was a deal between Schulte Roth & Zabel and the much larger McDermott Will & Emery, which had more than three times Schulte’s headcount.

In its first full year operating as a merged firm, Troutman Pepper Locke earned $1.85 billion in gross revenue and $776 million in net income.
The firm launched at the start of 2025, built on a combination between Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders (itself the product of a 2020 merger between Atlanta’s Troutman Sanders and Philadelphia’s Pepper Hamilton) and Texas-based Locke Lord.

Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr managed to increase its gross revenue by 0.6% to $1.61 billion in 2025, despite its court battle with the Trump administration last year over an executive order targeting the firm.
Overall, as Wilmer’s head count remained essentially flat at 992 lawyers, the firm’s revenue per lawyer rose 1.5% to $1.63 million last year. Meanwhile, the firm’s equity partner ranks declined by over 9% to 230 equity partners. That contributed to the firm's average profits per equity partner rising nearly 6% to $3.4 million, according to preliminary financial reporting from The American Lawyer.
