Shouldn't have to do this, but xo 2026 is dumb as shit so let me explain this for the dumb gook/Indians and bald autists ITT who don't know what a plot hole or AI is.
In Blade Runner 2049, K has Joi (an intelligent digital avatar with persistent memory, vision and reasoning) standing beside him while he manually scans enormous amounts of DNA data looking for an anomaly.
He eventually notices two identical genetic records himself. In 2026, one of the first things we’d do with far less advanced AI is give it the dataset and ask it to find duplicates and anomalies.
So the movie predicted sophisticated companionship with a digital avatar in 2049 but failed to imagine ordinary AI-assisted information extraction and knowledge work.
That is literally the clinical definition of a plot hole.
